Initial indications are that both the Blue Cross and Cigna State of Tennessee insurance plans for 2011 will cover the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy procedure. While you will still need to complete a six month medically supervised weight loss attempt; you no longer need a 5 year history of morbid obesity.
