I am 10 days shy of my 2 month mark since my Gastric Bypass surgery. Dr Dyer did a great job. I have already dropped about 60lbs. I am still dealing with the drain incision, but it is healing up. Once that is done, I have no doubt that I will feel 100% better than I did the day of surgery...Im already at 90%! My joints dont hurt as bad, and I have much more energy than I did. I still have a LOT of weight to drop, but Im confident that thanks to this tool Dr Dyer has given me that I will loose most if not all the excess weight! I would do it again 10x if I had to. VERY WORTH IT!

My surgery was the best thing I have ever done for myself. Dr Dyer was so helphul and considerate and still is during my follow-up visits. I have already discontinued my blood pressure medicine and cut my diabetes medicine bt half. I feel sure eventually I will be rid of it for good. After an initial problem with dehydration I have felt better than I have in years. I have lost almost 60 pounds. I highly recommend Dr. David Dyer and his helpful and friendly staff.

I am now 5 months out and I have lost 87lbs. I am now able to go shopping with family and not have to sit down every 10 min. I have more energy than I can ever remember having. I actually go walking just because I can't sit still. I recommend Dr Houston and his staff to anyone that acts the least bit interested in having this surgery. They are the best.

My name is Margaret Hale. Dr. David Dyer performed my weight loss surgery on Feb. 10th 2010. Since my surgery I have lost 24 pounds and feel great, He is a wonderful Dr. I would suggest to anyone looking into getting this type of surgery PLEASE go to Dr. Dyer. He has a wonderful bedside manner he really cares about his patients. My joints don't hurt as much since I have gotten some of the weight off. I feel more confident in myself.I can't wait till I have to buy new clothes. I would do this again if I needed to, and Dr. Dyer would be my surgeon. You will not find anyone better than Dr. Dyer and his staff .

I am almost 2 months out and I feel GREAT! I have been overweight my whole life, and lately I was gaining so much weight I was getting limited to everything! I am around 50 pounds down and I can tell a difference in my everyday life! It definitly isn't an easy road I took, but it is REWARDING! and that is all that matters! Dr. Dyer saved my life, and I am so thankful for him! I am looking forward to the months ahead!

Dr. David Dyer did my surgery 5 weeks ago and I would recommend him to anyone that is thinking about weight loss surgery, he is very thorough and very kind with a great bedside manner. I am so glad I had this done, I have already lost 30 lbs.

My comments are being posted approximatley six months after my surgery. I can truly say I have had a life changing experience. Even though I wanted the surgery I really got serious about it when my heart doctor looked at me and told me if I really wanted to live I would lose weight. I have lost approximately 75 lbs., the doctor has reduced and/or eliminated some of my medications, my blood pressure is under control, and I no longer use my C-Pap every night. Equally important I feel so much better about life and MYSELF. I am healthier and I am happy. I would recommend the surgery to anyone. I can not begin to thank Dr. Dyer and his staff enough for this life changing experience.

I LIVE IN CHATTANOOGA TN AND HAVE RESEARCHED ALL OF MY OPTIONS AS FAR AS SURGERY GOES. I HAVE BARRETTS ESOPHAGAS, HIGH BP SLEEP APNEA. AT 6'6" I WAS CARRYING 335LBS. I AM 55 YEARS OLD AND CAME TO THE REALIZATION THAT IF I DIDN'T DO SOMETHING MY FUTURE HEALTH WOULD GO FROM BAD TO WORSE. I HAD AN APPOINTMENT WITH DR HOUSTON AND I FIGURED THAT WHILE I WAS RELATIVELY HEALTHY THIS MAY BE THE BEST OPTION. AFTER GOING OVER MY CHART WITH DR HOUSTON HE RAISED HIS VOICE AND SAID: YOU'RE NOT HEALTHY!!!!! THAT REALLY SHOCKED ME AS I WAS UNDER THE ILLUSION THAT SINCE I HAD NEVER BEEN HOSPITALIZED THAT I WAS IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE. I REALLY APPRECIATED DR HOUSTON'S DIRECTNESS AND CANDOR AS IT CUT THROUGH MY BS DEFENSENSES AND GOT TO THE HEART OF THE MATTER. MY SURGERY WAS DECEMBER 29TH AND IT'S SIX WEEKS OUT AND I HAVE LOST 48LBS!!! I DEVELOPED A STRICTURE AND COULDN'T KEEP ANYTHING DOWN BUT AFTER A 15 MINUTE ENDOSCOPY THEY STRETCHED IT AND I'M FINE!!! I WAS SCARED BUT IT WAS NO BIG DEAL AT ALL. I EXPERIENCED NO PAIN FROM OPERATION AND REALLY HAVE RECOVERED WELL. MY ENERGY IS SLOWLY COMING BACK AND HAVE DONE EVERYTHING THAT THEY HAVE TOLD ME TO DO. DR HOUSTON IS AMAZING, KNOWS HIS STUFF, IS A CHRISTIAN, WITH A LOUSY SENSE OF HUMOR SO WHEN YOU MAKE HIM SMILE IT'S A BIG DEAL!!! ALL KIDDING ASIDE, HE IS BEYOND AWESOME AND TOOK REALLY GOOD CARE OF ME. THE ENTIRE STAFF WAS GREAT AND I'D RECOMMEND HIM AND HIS WONDERFUL STAFF TO ANYONE. THIS IS A BIG DEAL SURGERY THAT EFFECTS EVERYTHING SO DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!!!

I just can't believe how this surgery has changed my life. The best part is I am in my mid 40's and I have so much more energy to do things with my 10 and 12 yr old kids! We love rollercoasters!
